Select electrics was started by Kris Brandenburger back in 1987 after she had worked for several years at Albany Electric & Generator as a motor winder. She earned the title of Mrs. Ferrari by solving several difficult electrical problems on some of the bay Areas Ferraris. Soon the local dealerships began to send starters, generators and alternators to her. Expanding the business further to work on Jaguars, Race cars and other high end cars the business began to take off.
In 1994 Tim Sutter came to work at Select Electrics and under the care of Kris he eventually moved up to take over the business when Kris retired in 2003.
Tim comes from a back ground of electrical knowledge going back to his high school days. He learned the trade of automobile repair in 1985 when he went to Indian Valley College and went through the auto body and auto mechanic programs. He learned to be a fabricator and work in several different mediums during his time spent working at the Scientific Art Studio. He has restored several vehicles. His W.W. II armored half track won him the Best in Show at the National Military Vehicle Collectors Club show of 2003. He is a passionate perfectionist and will not stop until he is completely satisfied.
